It looks the “The Game” may not make it to overtime.

WWE.com is reporting that Triple H may have been injured at last night’s “TLC” pay-per-view event, following an attack by Roman Reigns. After Reigns lost in the main event of the evening, he went on a tirade and attacked “The Cerebral Assassin” multiple times with a chair. Below is an official statement from WWE.com:

BOSTON – Following Roman Reigns’ vicious attack on WWE COO Triple H at the WWE TLC pay-per-view, WWE.com has learned that The Game is being evaluated by WWE medical staff and will be observed overnight.

Check back with WWE.com for further updates.

It is unknown at this time whether the report is true, or if it is just a part of a storyline.

Reigns was inches away from climbing the ladder and winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, however the League Of Nations attacked him and prevented him from grabbing the title. After Sheamus was victorious, Reigns went ballistic and destroyed Rusev, Alberto Del Rio, and Sheamus before taking out his frustrations on the COO of WWE.

Editor’s Note:

This may be WWE’s last-ditch effort to get Roman Reigns over with the fans. He’s always been a talented wrestler, but something about his personality has never seemed to click with the WWE Universe. However, I thought it was a good next step in the evolution in his character, and demonstrated his darker side. We’ll see how it pays off, and what’s next in his storyline with The Authority.
