However, it would appear that the fans aren’t the only ones who think that a change is necessary for The Big Dog.
On a recent episode of “The Steve Austin Show,” The Rattlesnake agreed with this sentiment, saying that a change is necessary for Reigns:
“So what do you do with Roman Reigns at this point?,” Austin said, via Fightful.com. “For him to have the biggest run … you’ve got to turn him heel, and he’s got to perform and let loose. He needs to be aggressive and go out there: ‘This is what you wanted; this is what you get. I don’t need your damn support.’ He needs to bring a mean streak and go on a total heel run.”
In the main event of Backlash 2018, Reigns went one-on-one with Samoa Joe. You can see a clip of that match below:
Editor’s Opinion:
I’m still convinced that The Big Dog is the most important person in WWE. There’s still no one on the main roster who illicits the intense reaction from the crowd than he does, and people love to hate him. As long as you get a reaction, you will always have a job in professional wrestling. That being said, I would be OK with a Reigns heel turn; it might end up making him the popular star that McMahon wants him to be.
