According to a report from PWInsider, Rollins was diagnosed with a Grade 2 MCL tear and partially torn meniscus in his left knee in January. He took some time off from the ring and was eventually cleared to return in time for WrestleMania 40.
It is unknown when Rollins will be back in WWE.
Editor’s Opinion:
What this report is telling us, is that Rollins wrestled two matches while injured on the weekend of the biggest show of the year. I’ve been reading several reports that claim that he was the MVP of the weekend, despite all the accolades for The Rock, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes. And with this report coming out, it’s hard to argue with the sentiment. Rollins has cemented himself as one of the top guys in the company with his performance leading up to WrestleMania, and we all hope that he is back soon!
