I am well aware that the article that I am about to write is going to infuriate many of you, and cause you think that I am either insane, or that I clearly don’t watch the product at all.

But, hear me out.

It’s no secret that many people feel that Eva Marie is one of the most awful wrestlers on the main roster. Her ring skills are weak at best, and she tends to rub fans the wrong way. This trend continued during her time on “Total Divas,” where she established herself as one of the most annoying and antagonistic characters on the show.

Since “Smackdown Live” has begun airing on Tuesday nights, Eva Marie has twice attempted to make her in-ring debut. However, some sort of issue has occurred each time, which has prevented this from happening.

It began with an “injury,” after which the referee determined that she was unable to compete.

The following week, she had a “wardrobe malfunction,” which obviously meant that she would not be able to wrestle. This, of course, was much to the chagrin of every male fan in attendance:

What the casual fan knows about Eva Marie so far, is that we have no idea how capable she is as an in-ring performer.

However, she has a look that is simply incredible and seductive. Her beauty, her attire, and the way that she carries herself on the main roster, is extremely marketable. She captures the attention of every person in attendance, as well as the people who watch her on television.

Combine that with her over-the-top, voiceover entrance, and you have a recipe for one of the most unique characters in sports entertainment today.

Although this has not been confirmed, it has been heavily rumored that “Smackdown Live” will be introducing its own Women’s Championship, due to the fact that the current champion, Sasha Banks, is exclusive to “Monday Night Raw.”

And when I think about all of the aspects of Eva Marie, both positive and negative, I have come up with one conclusion:

The “Smackdown Live” Women’s Championship should be introduced at “SummerSlam,” and Eva Marie should be the first champion, winning it in her inaugural match on the main roster.

The heat that she garners from fans, critics and analysts alike, is almost on the level of Roman Reigns, before his wellness policy violation. Throughout almost all of 2015 and most of 2016, Reigns was the guy, and was pushed to the moon, despite the horrendous outcry from many members of the WWE Universe.

Why did WWE continue to give us someone that we, as a whole, detested so much? It was because of the reaction that he received. Reigns was spoken of with so much passion by the fans of WWE, that his reaction, good or bad, was perhaps the biggest in the company. Many would say that it was even bigger then Cena’s reaction before he was injured.

The same thing is happening with Eva Marie.

We hate her. We know that she can’t wrestle, and that she is being pushed simply because of her look. But, the bottom line is that she is getting a reaction. Perhaps the biggest reaction in the Women’s Division; you could make an argument that the heat that she draws is bigger than the face pop that Sasha Banks gets when she comes out.

It is for this reason that Eva Marie should be given the title. Allow her to keep having these issues, preventing her from wrestling, and then have her win the title in her inaugural match at “SummerSlam.”

Think about this. Imagine if she won the title on the second biggest pay-per-view of the year, overshadowing the moment for the real wrestling talent on “Smackdown Live,” such as Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Natalya.

Can you imagine that heat that she would get? Can you picture how social media would blow up? I wouldn’t be surprised if the next few segments of the show were hijacked, because of how big of a heel reaction that she would get.

Now, I doubt that the hijacking would last long, because the “SummerSlam” card is pretty stacked. But, you get my point.

It has been heavily rumored that not only is Eva Marie going to be pushed to the top on “Smackdown Live,” but that she is, in fact, going to be the inaugural champion, should one be introduced. And I think that this is absolutely brilliant, and must happen.

The easiest way to stop her push is to completely ignore her, and not react to anything that happens with her, both inside and outside of the ring. But, until that happens, she is going to be given the Roman Reigns treatment, and will be the face of “Smackdown Live.”

And that is without a doubt, best for business.
