Cedric Alexander Expected to Sign With NXT After Wonderful Performance During the “Cruiserweight Classic”

It has been said before, and it’ll be said yet again. If you aren’t watching the “Cruiserweight Classic” every week, you’re missing out on a lot of good wrestling.

Last week, Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa had a match that the WWE Universe has been talking about all week, but Cedric Alexander and Kota Ibushi weren’t to be denied their week in the sun.

During last night’s edition of the “Cruiserweight Classic,” Alexander & Ibushi met in the second round of the tournament to decide who would be moving onto the next quarterfinals.

In a fantastic match with many impressive near falls and two excellent performances by both men, Ibushi ended up getting the victory over Alexander after a “Golden Star Powerbomb.”

However, Alexander received overwhelming praise from the crowd in Full Sail University, and it lead to a moment where The Game came out to reassure the fans that Cedric’s future in WWE is bright.

There is some speculation about Triple H coming out to grab Alexander because he was wasting time and needed to come to the back quickly, but it’s undeniable that Cedric Alexander accomplished something big.
