We all want to see Kurt Angle on WWE TV again. Whether that’s in the ring, or as general manager, or whatever–we just need it to happen. So a bit of production shenaniganry had some Raw fans in Philly last night feeling a little salty.

Kurt Angle’s music played in the arena, but no Olympian followed.

Of course, the reason why is fairly harmless. The commentary team was speaking about Angle with his music playing softly underneath–or at least as softly as sports arena will allow. Without an image on the titantron or really any reason for Angle to appear, it’s unlikely anyone was especially disappointed he didn’t show up.

But still, that’s a confusing few seconds.

Kurt Angle will be returning to WWE TV for the Hall of Fame Ceremony this Friday. (Yes, Friday. NXT Takeover has taken over the Saturday slot.) Beyond that is pure speculation. Angle certainly wants another match in WWE, but whether the company’s doctors will clear him is another matter entirely.

With Mick Foley fired from the role, however, many are hopeful that he could make his big comeback as general manager on Monday nights.
