Ranallo has missed the last few episodes of “Smackdown Live” recently. Initially it was reported that bad weather prevented him from attending the show; however, the latest news has shed a different light to the story.
The “Smackdown Live” announcer has suffered from depression for many years, and it appears that he is struggling with it more intensely than usual at this junction of his career. He has taken some time off to deal with and recover from the latest bout with his condition.
There have been rumors that his on-screen battle with JBL is becoming more and more real, but nothing has been confirmed at this time.
We at Wrestling Rumors wish nothing but the speediest of recoveries for Mauro Ranallo!
Editor’s Note:
I’ve said before that he is the best part of “Smackdown Live,” and I’m sticking to that. His passion for the business, along with his ability to seamlessly weave pop culture and sports entertainment together is riveting, and he makes watching each week much more enjoyable. I hope that he is back behind the desk, where he belongs, very soon!
