Ever since Matt and Jeff Hardy made their return to WWE last night at WrestleMania and captured the “RAW” Tag Team Titles, many members of the WWE Universe wondered if they would return as Team Extreme, or if they would let their “Broken Brilliance” shine.

Tonight on “RAW Talk,” following “Monday Night Raw,” The Hardys were special guests and discussed several topics.

Their return was actually kept a surprise from most people. Matt said that once they arrived at the arena, they were quietly snuck in, quickly got ready and then immediately headed for the curtain to make their entrance for the Fatal 4-Way Tag Team match against Cesaro & Sheamus, Enzo Amore & Big Cass, and the then champions, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson.

Renee Young then asked what the Hardy brothers have been up to since they left WWE the first time. Matt addressed the fact that they were on an “Expedition of Gold,” and were aiming to capture tag team titles across multiple federations and promotions. He then said that their goal is complete, as they have won the most prestigious titles that professional wrestling has to offer, in the “Raw” Tag Team Titles.

It should be noted that while some of the words of the “Broken” gimmick, such as “intoxicating” and “Expedition of Gold” were used, they were clearly not speaking in the voice associated with the character. Also, neither Matt or Jeff used the word “Delete” in their interview.

Editor’s Note:

At first, I was confused by this, but several people pointed out to me that the lawsuit with TNA over who owns the rights to the “Broken” gimmick are still ongoing. WWE is definitely hinting at the character without overstepping their boundaries, and I hope that they can return to this gimmick once everything is cleared up!
