After the “Raw After Mania” went off the air tonight, the show was not over.

Former Universal Champion Goldberg then made his way to the ring for “Raw Talk” on the WWE Network. He cut an emotional and heartfelt promo, where he addressed his future with the company.

“The Man” began by saying that he was approached to return to WWE after being away for 13 years. He said that while people wanted him to be the monster that he once was, humans have limitations and he just can’t do that anymore.

However, he emphasized that his focused has now shifted to his family. After claiming to be the luckiest guy in the world, Goldberg looked at his son and said that over the past couple of months, they’ve done what they came to WWE to do.

Goldberg then thanked his family for their support, and said that he sacrificed nights at the dinner table to be in the gym so that he could do what he did. He then called his son into the ring.

“The Man” continued by saying that he had the opportunity to take the Universal Championship to his son’s school, and that the pride that he felt from holding the title in front of his son’s peers and teachers was immeasurable.

Goldberg would then address his future. He said that this might be the last time that you see him in a WWE ring; it all depends on the wishes of his family.

After acknowledging that his match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 20 was a debacle, he said that the two of them made up for it at WrestleMania 33. He would then say that he still thinks he’s one of the “baddest son of a bitches on the planet,” and that you never know WHO’S NEXT!

Goldberg would then set the microphone down and leave the ring as his music played.

But then his music stopped.

And then he grabbed the microphone again and said “Never say never.”

Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar - Universal Title Match: WrestleMania 33 (WWE Network Exclusive)

Editor’s Note:

The major thing that I took away from this interview was that Goldberg has clearly returned for the right reasons. He loves his family, and the emotion that he feels for the WWE Universe is special. Goldberg will always have my undying respect and admiration.
