Even Olympic Gold Medalists need some time away from the business.
In addition, Angle mentions that won’t be making a return to World Wrestling Entertainment, electing to “take a break” from the wrestling business for an indeterminate amount of time instead.
He adds that he is almost back to being 100% healthy, and he plans to appear at the “Bound For Glory” pay-per-view in Charlotte, North Carolina on Oct. 4.
It had been previously reported that Angle underwent neck surgery back in July.
There has been speculation that Angle would be making one final run in WWE before his career is over. In addition, he recently said that he would love for his final match to be against Daniel Bryan.
Editor’s Note:
Kurt Angle’s return to WWE seems like a no-brainer to me. There is no doubt that he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, and with all of the incredible matches that he has had over the years, his knowledge and wisdom of the business could be a true asset to the new talent. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had one final run with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as well. We’ll see how this all plays out.
