This would lead many to assume that a match between the two will be taking place in the future. But when will that be?
According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is being reported that the match will either take place on March 25 in Long Beach, or at Dominion on June 9 in Osaka.
The determining factor in whether or not the match will happen has to do with Jericho’s upcoming tour with his band, “Fozzy.” According to the report, the band is Jericho’s biggest priority for 2018.
Further, “Y2J” would like to work a schedule with NJPW similar to what Brock Lesnar does with WWE. He’s not interested in working the G-1 Tournament, but is simply looking to compete against their biggest stars, such as Naito, Kenny Omega (which he did in January of this year), and Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Editor’s Opinion:
I’m surprised that “Y2J” is deciding to spend more time with NJPW over WWE. His latest run with the company gave us “The List of Jericho,” which may be his most popular shtick of all time.
