Video: Top Ten Wildest Royal Rumble Showdowns

Look at this one. The Royal Rumble offers the chance for some miniature versions of legitimate dream matches. Whether it’s Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior in 1990 or Steve Austin vs. the Rock in 2001, there are some big time showdowns over the history of the Royal Rumble. With another edition of the show coming up, you know what that means.

WWE has released a video of the Top Ten Wildest Royal Rumble Showdowns. These range throughout the history of the show with some of them naturally being treated as bigger deals than some others. There are a few comedy spots thrown in as well but the majority is spent on the serious, big time matches that fans responded to quite here. Here’s the video:

Opinion: FIFTH? The biggest showdown in the history of the Royal Rumble is FIFTH? And it’s before something involving the Hurricane? And that time with Austin vs. the Rock doesn’t even make the list? I know some of these aren’t exactly rocket science to figure out but my goodness some of these choices are indefensible. The number one pick is fine, but Hogan vs. Warrior that low and Austin and Rock not making the list doesn’t work for me.
