WWE recently published an article, listing all of the “Grand Slam” championship winners in the company’s history. The definition of a “Grand Slam” winner is as follows:
What exactly qualifies a Grand Slam Champion in WWE has changed several times as the roster of championships has, and only eight Superstars had managed to meet the current set of criteria: Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, either the Raw (formerly WWE) or SmackDown Tag Team Championship and either active heavyweight title — as in, WWE Championship or, now, the Universal Championship.
The company has listed 9 winners:
- Edge
- The Big Show
- The Miz
- Eddie Guerrero
- Daniel Bryan
- Kurt Angle
- Chris Jericho
- Dean Ambrose
Also on the list is Roman Reigns, who joined the club after winning the Intercontinental Championship on last week’s episode of “Raw.” You can see a clip of it below:
However, there is one name that was left off of the list.
JBL is also a “Grand Slam” winner, and took to Twitter to let the world know that WWE didn’t include them in their list:
Hey @WWE you sure this list is complete? Might should check your facts. Leave a Wrestling God off the list? https://t.co/jjFi8roJmV

I win US Title, Intercontinental Title, Tag Titles and WWE Title-Grand Slam Champion, and @WWE puts out a list and omits me? Come on man!

John Bradshaw Layfield was formerly a commentator on “Smackdown Live.” He left the company in September of this year to focus on helping at-risk youth and communities in Bermuda.
Editor’s Opinion:
I wonder if this has anything to do with the allegations that JBL was a bully backstage, which have now become public. It could also be that WWE simply forgot about the “Wrestling God.” We’ll see if the company fixes the issue!
