At last night’s NXT live event in Lakeland, Florida, former “Tough Enough” competitor Patrick Clark made his in-ring debut. He came up short, losing to Riddick Moss in what was said to be a very good, albeit short match. Below is an official tweet from Clark’s official Twitter page, indicating his debut:

Clark was a competitor on “Tough Enough” up until the episode that aired on July 21, 2015. He would be eliminated due to his cocky nature and lack of humility, however, he was always one of the most respected and impressive competitors on the show. His natural athleticism and outgoing personality impressed WWE officials, as they offered him a development contract in October.

He was among six superstars from the show to receive such deals, although not all of the signings turned out positive. Within his first month of training, Zamariah “ZZ” Loupe injured himself, and missed six weeks of action.

Editor’s Note:

Hearing this news makes me happy, as I always thought that Clark was the best competitor on “Tough Enough.” He has a terrific presence both in and out of the ring, along with a look that is incredibly marketable for WWE. I hope that he continues to grow, and that we eventually see him on NXT full time.
