He’s back. Earlier tonight, TNA presented its annual Rebellion pay-per-view from the Palms Casino Resort in Paradise, Nevada. One of the items on the card was a “lights out” surprise, with a superstar returning to the company. But who could it be?
At Rebellion, Mike Santana made his return to TNA, marking his first time with the promotion since 2018. He was most recently seen in AEW, having been with the company from 2019 until his release earlier this year.
During the show, Steve Maclin appeared in the ring with what he said was a brand-new contract. While he said the company met his demands, one of them was for a match on the pay-per-view.
This brought out Santino Marella who said that he just signed a new superstar and he was ready for a match. That brought out Santana through the crowd, who proceeded to defeat Maclin with this Spin The Block spinning clothesline.
Santana was a four-time TNA Tag Team Champion along with his long-time partner Ortiz. The two were in the company from 2017-2019 before departing for AEW.
Editor’s Opinion:
This is a great pick-up for the company. I always thought that he was one of the most underappreciated wrestlers in AEW, and I hope that this new opportunity will reinvigorate his career!
