Run it back. On tonight’s episode of Raw, it was revealed that Cody Rhodes will take on Brock Lesnar at the upcoming 2023 Night of Champions premium live event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This will be a rematch of their recent match at Backlash this past weekend.

Rhodes was facing Finn Balor and The Miz in a triple threat match, with the winner advancing to the finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament that evening. Just when Rhodes looked like he was about to get the victory, Lesnar appeared from the crowd and gave him an F5 through the announce table. He would then berate Rhodes on the microphone, challenging him to a ‘fight’ at Night of Champions.

Later in the show, Rhodes said that he was upset that he didn’t advance in the tournament, but accepted The Beast’s offer for a fight.

Editor’s Opinion:

While I have no objection to these two going out it again, WWE has to give me a reason to be invested in this. We still don’t know why exactly Lesnar is targeting Rhodes, and if we don’t get an answer soon, I’m afraid that this fuel will not have the impact that it should.
