Former “Raw” General Manager Brad Maddox has been released by WWE. The following comes from WWE.com:
WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Brad Maddox as of Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015. WWE wishes Maddox the best in all of his future endeavors.
A former OVW and FCW champion, Maddox has had a number of different roles with WWE. He was first introduced on the main roster as a referee in 2012, and was introduced to a main storyline when he cost Ryback the WWE championship against CM Punk at “Hell In A Cell.” Over the next year, he was promoted to General Manager of “Monday Night Raw,” before being fired by The Authority for defying Triple H’s orders in 2014.
He also recently appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” where he dressed up in a turkey suit, and was given a Tombstone by The Undertaker.
Editor’s Note:
Although this is not surprising, this makes me sad. I always thought that Maddox was one of the most entertaining characters on the roster, and if used properly, could have made some memorable and hilarious moments for the entire WWE Universe.
