A few weeks ago, there was a major update on Sami Zayn’s return to the ring. Zayn has been out of action since NXT Takeover: Unstoppable in June. His last match was his rematch against Kevin Owens for the NXT Championship. Zayn’s character was decimated by Owens and lead to the NXT debut of Samoa Joe.

The update a few weeks ago was that Zayn had returned to the WWE Performance Center, and he is now doing light training. Unfortunately, there are no reports of Sami Zayn’s progress in making it back to the ring in NXT, or in WWE.

However, it is being reported that Zayn is being advertised to appear at all dates of NXT’s tour of the United Kingdom. It’s not being reported that Zayn’s shoulder is okay, and he is medically cleared to wrestle.

His appearances during NXT’s U.K tour is a huge step in the right direction to get Sami back in touch with the NXT audience. It appears that Zayn will be getting his feet wet again in NXT before he makes his in-ring return.

Zayn has been very clear in the past about his intention to seek revenge against Kevin Owens for taking a year of his career away, but that would require Zayn to be promoted to the main roster. If Zayn returns in enough time, he may even be able to target Owens for Wrestlemania 32.

However, Finn Balor vs. Sami Zayn sounds like a great match to see in 2016 at some point.
