Bayley Injured on “Raw,” “SummerSlam” Status Unknown

During a match with Nia Jax this past week on “Raw,” Bayley appeared to take a tough bump and tweaked her shoulder.  It would appear that this injury was worse than expected, as WWE.com is reporting that there is now significant swelling in her shoulder.

While the diagnosis is inconclusive at this point, she has been told to keep it under rest until next week, where she will go another series of tests.

“Everything just tensed up around it,” Bayley told WWE.com shortly after her match on Monday night. “I’ve never had an injury like this before, so I can’t really know what it is. I guess we’re gonna see.”

Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com, “We’ve determined the injury is shoulder-related, and she will be going under further diagnostic testing later this week to determine the extent of the injury and also establish a timetable for recovery.”

Bayley is currently scheduled to face Alexa Bliss for the “Raw” Women’s Championship at “SummerSlam.” It is unknown if she will be able to compete at this time.
