It had been previously reported that Sasha Banks had pulled out of an appearance on the Wendy Williams Show earlier this week, due to personal reasons. However, this may not be the only issue that The Boss is having.
According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Banks tried to quit the company over the weekend and is clearly unhappy with her position in WWE.
The reason that she wanted to quit was because she felt blindsided when finding out at the last minute that her and Bayley would be dropping the Women’s Tag Team titles at WrestleMania 35. She had thought that the two of them would be given a chance to have a strong run and bring credibility to the titles.
However, the decision was made to go to the IIconics, who as champions in her eyes, could only make the belts seem like gimmick, comedy belts.
Check out a clip from their WrestleMania match below:
The report states that she has been given a few weeks to think things out, as the company believes that she may have made as a rash decision.
We will continue to monitor this story and provide more information as it becomes available to us.
Editor’s Opinion:
Honestly, I can’t blame The Boss for being unhappy. Just a couple of years ago, her and Charlotte Flair were breaking barriers for the Women’s division, main eventing pay-per-views, having the first women’s Hell in a Cell match, etc. Perhaps breaking away from Bayley and jumping to Smackdown Live in next week’s Superstar Shakeup would be the reboot that her career needs.
