Hulk Hogan has had a tumultuous couple of years. Having been the star and face of the company for most of his life, he fell from grace following the Gawker scandal in which a sex tape of him spewing racial slurs came to light.

He has since become blackballed from the WWE, with all products bearing his name being pulled from their shelves and his spot in the Hall of Fame essentially being vacated and disavowed by the company.

That may not be for long however. Dave Meltzer said to expect Hogan’s return, “sooner rather than later.”

It is of note that I wouldn’t expect anything super soon. There is still no return of Hogan merchandise to the WWE store as well as no return of Hogan to the WWE Hall of Fame. But you certainly can’t expect one of the biggest names in the history of wrestling to be out of the picture for long.

Hogan has since won his lawsuit against Gawker Media for failing to comply with his cease and desist notice, thus leading to defamation of Hogan’s public image. This led to Gawker Media being shut down and having their assets sold off to Univision in August.
