The staff here at WrestlingRumors.net have assembled a list of winners for the first-ever “WR Year-End Awards,” covering all aspects of professional wrestling in the year 2014.
The second of these awards will go to the winner of WWE’s Announcer of the Year:
WWE Announcer of the Year: Renee Young
The lovely and talented Renee Young has worn many hats during her early run with World Wrestling Entertainment. She’s worked as a backstage interviewer, a commentator on NXT and a member of the WWE “Superstars” announce team, making her the first female in such a role in over a decade.
She can also be seen running the panels on NXT special event and WWE pay-per-view pre-shows, conversing with the likes of Paul Heyman, Alex Riley and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.
With a superb knowledge of the business and an enthusiasm that’s at the forefront every time she’s on the air, Young has elevated her standing and become someone everyone needs to be keeping an eye on in the coming year and beyond. Could she be the first full-time female commentator on the “Monday Night Raw” announce team?
