WrestlingRumors.net 2014 Year-End Awards: WWE Pop of the Year

The staff here at WrestlingRumors.net have assembled a list of winners for the first-ever “WR Year-End Awards,” covering all aspects of professional wrestling.

The first of these awards will go to the winner of WWE’s Pop of the Year:

WWE POP OF THE YEAR: Daniel Bryan wins WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 30

2. Cesaro slams Big Show during Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

It was quite the magical moment on April 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. After months of thwarting the Authority and their attempts of keeping him away from the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Daniel Bryan finally overcame the odds and won the gold for a third time, much to the dismay of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Bryan locked in his signature submission hold on Batista to make “The Animal” tap out in front of 75,000+ rowdy fans. Randy Orton, the defending champion at the time, could do nothing as his title was taken away without him being involved in the decision.

Fireworks blared throughout the building as Bryan stood on top of the announce table, hoisting his belts in the air in victory.
