According to a report by PWInsider.com, with Daniel Bryan scheduled to appear on the pre-show of “WWE Money in the Bank” later this evening, the feeling backstage is that management is in no rush to put Bryan back in the main event picture.
Several superstars believe that the company would never put the likes of John Cena, Roman Reigns or Batista on a pre-show, but with Bryan, they must not think very highly of him to have him in that position.
Also, as the report indicates, WWE officials feel that Bryan’s bubble has “popped” and that he’ll never be any bigger/more popular than he was on his journey to WrestleMania 30.
They’re also hesitant to give Bryan another championship run because he got hurt when they needed him the most.
There are those in WWE who like to remind people that had it not been for CM Punk’s departure, Bryan would have faced Sheamus at WrestleMania 30 instead.
Bryan has been on the shelf since “WWE Extreme Rules” after suffering a severe neck injury. He was stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the June 9 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”
Editor’s Note
I can’t blame WWE for feeling this way. Fans have their opinion and management has their own. Unfortunately, WWE officials are justified in feeling the way they do with Daniel Bryan, which may upset quite a few people.
