The official WWE Twitter account teased on Friday that “The Next Generation” would be coming on Sept. 22.

Rumors started to circulate over the possibility of WWE bringing up some of their top NXT talent and having them debut on the upcoming edition of “Monday Night Raw.”
Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer has shot those stories down on his site, noting that the tease has nothing to do with NXT stars appearing on television.
On the F4WOnline.com message board, a fan wrote about how he predicts that guys like Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami would debuting on “Raw.”
Meltzer responded by saying, “This is not something to get excited about or you will be disappointed.”
Chances are that the tease has everything to do with the upcoming “WWE 2K15” video game. The first gameplay trailer will arrive on Monday afternoon.
“WWE 2K15” will be released in the United States on next-generation consoles on Nov. 14, with the PS3/XBOX 360 consoles getting the game on Oct. 28.

Bummer. The next time you want to get excited about a social media tease by WWE, take a step back and logically think about what it could be. You’ll find yourself coming up with a rational explanation almost immediately.
