This week marks the end of Chris Jericho’s current run in WWE, as he will wrap up either at “Night of Champions” or the next night’s showing of “Monday Night Raw.” Since returning to WWE on the June 30 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” Jericho will have wrestled three pay-per-view matches.

On Sunday, Sept. 21, Jericho will receive a unique pay-per-view opponent, facing Randy Orton at “Night of Champions.” In his first two pay-per-view bouts of his run, Jericho traded victories with Bray Wyatt, first defeating him at “Battleground.” Then, at “SummerSlam,” Wyatt exacted revenge against Jericho with a victory of his own.

Beginning on Sept. 24, Jericho will return to a more full-time tour schedule with his band Fozzy. Additionally, he will begin promotion for his new autobiography, titled “The Best in the World: At What I Have No Idea.” It is scheduled to be released on Oct. 14 of this year.

Jericho discussed the end of his current WWE run on a recent edition of his “Talk is Jericho” podcast. While he did confirm his run is ending, he would state that this is not “goodbye.” Going even further to confirm a return to the squared circle, Jericho added he may return “maybe even sooner than you think.”

Editor’s Note

I could definitely see Jericho returning around November or December, as his tour schedule runs through October.
