WWE COO Triple H set the record straight on the “NXT Takeover: Brooklyn” card during a conference call Wednesday morning.

He teased four matches being added to the card with a tweet he sent out on Tuesday, which indicated the following matches would take place at the special event:

  • Bull Dempsey vs. Elias Samson
  • Carmella vs. Eva Marie
  • Enzo Amore, Big Cass, Zack Ryder, and Mojo Rawley vs. Scott Dawson, Dash Wilder, Chad Gable, and Jason Jordan
  • Emma vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte vs. Dana Brooke

Unfortunately, fans expecting to see those bouts air on the WWE Network this Saturday will be greatly disappointed.

Per HHH, only the first half of the card will be airing on Aug. 22, which the recently-added matches being taped at the Barclays Center for a future episode of “NXT” programming.

The show will air at 9 p.m. ET, with the aforementioned matches taking place prior to “NXT Takeover: Brooklyn,” which will be headlined by Finn Balor defending the NXT Championship in a Ladder match against Kevin Owens.

Editor’s Note

Damn. We’ll still be seeing the entire 10-match card at some point, although it’s going to be spread out over two airings. That’s fine. This way, every match gets the time it deserves. It also makes next week’s episode of “NXT” (or whichever episode it is) a heck of a lot more intriguing.
