Triple Threat WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match Confirmed for “Payback”

WWE “Payback” will take place on May 17, live from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

In the main event, Seth Rollins will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat match against both Randy Orton and Roman Reigns.

Fans were able to vote for the match by using the WWE app during “Monday Night Raw” on April 26. They were allowed to choose between A) Rollins vs. Orton, B) Rollins vs. Reigns and C) Rollins vs. Orton vs. Reigns.

WWE had previously teased this bout with a “Payback” video promo posted on its official YouTube page.

Rollins defeated Orton in a Steel Cage match at WWE “Extreme Rules” on April 26 to retain his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Reigns defeated Big Show in a “Last Man Standing” match earlier in the night.

This will be Reigns’ first shot at Rollins and the title since losing at WrestleMania 31 in the main event after Rollins cashed in his “Money in the Bank” briefcase.

The only other bout confirmed for “Payback” at this time is John Cena taking on Rusev in an “I Quit” match for the WWE United States Championship.
