It was Mike Killam of Wrestlezone.com who first broke the story of Spike TV not renewing their contract with TNA Wrestling to keep “Impact” on their network. TMZ.com confirmed it early Monday morning, as did F4WOnline.com later that afternoon.

WZ.com is now reporting that Dave Lagana, the current Director of Creative Writing for TNA, has approached Ring of Honor for a future position should TNA go under.

Lagana is interested in helping produce their future pay-per-view events, as well as handling their social media accounts.

He’s been with TNA Wrestling since October of 2011. He had previously worked for World Wrestling Entertainment as one of their writers and even had a stint with Ring of Honor as a backstage producer for a couple of years after his six-year tenure with WWE.

The report notes that ROH has some preliminary interest in bringing him back.

TNA’s contract with Spike TV is expected to run through October. It’s unknown at this time if there are any other networks interested in picking up the show.

Editor’s Note

With TNA’s future clouded by so much doubt and uncertainty, it’s hard to fault a guy like Lagana as he looks for greener pastures.
