At WWE “SummerSlam” on Sunday night, Kofi Kingston and Big E of The New Day defeated Los Matadores, The Lucha Dragons, and former champions The Prime Time Players to become two-time WWE Tag Team Champions.

The New Day started the match cutting a promo on the Brooklyn crowd, mocking Jay Z’s “Empire State of Mind:”

Once the match got underway, the teams exchanged blows back and forth. At one point, Titus O’Neil cleared the ring, laying out all participants. One of the big spots of the match was when Big E, aiming for Fernando, speared Darren Young from the ring apron onto the floor:

The ending of the match came when Kingston secretly tagged himself in when O’Neil was distracted by the Lucha Dragons on the top rope. The Lucha Dragons’ then double superplexed Diego, which was turned into a “Tower of Doom” by O’Neil, unknowing that Kingston was the legal man. O’Neil then hit Fernando with “The Clash of the Titus.” Big E then threw O’Neil outside so Kingston could pin Fernando for the victory.
