All three members of The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose) will get their chance at revenge on April 6 when they take on the team of Kane and The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) in a six-man tag team match at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for WrestleMania 30.
The announcement was made on the 3/24 edition of “Monday Night RAW” when Director of Operations Kane and the six-time WWE Tag Team Champions made their way to the top of the entrance ramp to confront the “Hounds of Justice” after their match with The Real Americans.
During “Friday Night SmackDown” on March 21, Kane put The Shield in a Fatal 4-Way match for a potential shot at the WWE Tag Team Championship against The Real Americans, Rybaxel and 3MB. Before a victor could be decided, “The Devil’s Favorite Demon” and his new allies came down to the ring to lay out The Shield.
A lot of the animosity between the two parties emerged when the trio refused to attack Big Show and Jerry Lawler on two different occasions per the orders of Corporate Kane.
The New Age Outlaws have a longstanding relationship with COO Triple H. That easily explains why the famous tag team has aligned themselves with “The Big Red Machine,” who works directly under the 13-time World Champion.
It’s been nearly 16 years since Road Dogg and Billy Gunn teamed together at a WrestleMania event. Their last appearance was at WrestleMania 14 when they lost the WWE Tag Team Championship to Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie in a Dumpster match.
