As we reported Saturday afternoon here at WrestlingRumors.net, WWE superstar Roman Reigns underwent emergency surgery to repair an “incarcerated hernia” at a Nashville hospital over the weekend.
The injury will keep him out of action for a minimum of 4-to-6 weeks, although the recovery time could take as long as 8-to-12 weeks.
Reigns took to his personal Twitter account (@WWERomanReigns) to thank fans for their support during this troubling time.
Thank you everyone for your kind words, support and prayers!! I’m hurting right now but it’s great to know good people have my back!!

Contrary to popular belief, the hernia was not discovered during a match. In fact, Reigns complained of his abdominal pain while at his hotel on Sept. 20.
It was then determined that he would need to go to the hospital, where the hernia was eventually diagnosed.
The 29-year-old was scheduled to face Seth Rollins at WWE “Night of Champions,” although that bout has now been removed from the card.
Editor’s Note
On behalf of everyone here at the site, I’d like to wish Roman a quick and speedy recovery from a very serious injury. Hope to see him back in the squared circle sooner rather than later.
