During the Dec. 29 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” WWE superstar Ryback cut a very revealing promo following the “Champion vs. Champion” match between Rusev and Dolph Ziggler.

He discussed his time on “Tough Enough,” being a member of Nexus, falling into a deep depression and eventually making his way back to the company.

The reason behind Ryback cutting such a promo is that management wanted him to connect with the WWE Universe on more of an emotional level.

He re-tweeted several messages from fans on Twitter who were inspired by what he said at the end of the night. Ryback also discussed similar stories on a recent edition of Chris Jericho’s “Talk is Jericho” podcast, which you can listen to by clicking here.

Plans are in motion for Ryback to challenge Rusev for the WWE United States Championship, which could happen as early as the “Royal Rumble” pay-per-view.

Editor’s Note

Never before has Ryback won over so many fans, both old and new, by talking on the microphone. This was perfectly executed and went a long way towards winning over the masses.
