In a recent post on WWE.com, it was revealed that the next inductee into the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame class would be announced on the Feb. 9 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”
It’s believed that “The Crippler” Ray Stevens will be that inductee.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported back in December that due to Stevens’ run in the San Francisco area during “The Territory Days,” he would be a shoe-in for this year’s class.
Pat Patterson has pushed heavily for Stevens to be inducted. He will likely be the one giving the induction speech.
Stevens was a seven-time AWA United States Heavyweight Champion, as well as a AWA Tag Team Champion with Patterson.
He would join “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Arnold Schwarzenegger as the only confirmed names into the Hall of Fame for 2015.
Editor’s Note
Well-deserved. He’s not a flashy name that a lot of members of the WWE Universe will have grown up watching, but his credentials certainly warrant an induction.
