On Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, WWE will air the first ever “Fastlane” event, which has replaced “Elimination Chamber” as the annual February pay-per-view. The presumed main event match for the show will see Daniel Bryan take on Roman Reigns, with the winner getting a crack at WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31.

According to a report from Reddit user MetsFan4Ever, who has become a reliable source for WWE insider information and breaking news, Roman Reigns will “100%” win the match. The reported reason for the match taking place is to “quiet the marks” for a few weeks, while still attempting to get Reigns over with the crowd. Despite the match’s stipulation, Reigns is still the top guy, who will go on to face Lesnar at WrestleMania, likely winning.

Additionally, WWE feels that Daniel Bryan is one of its most physical wrestlers, which will help Reigns prepare for his colossal encounter with Lesnar. This is similar to how Curtis Axel trained Brock Lesnar and The Rock for some of their return matches.

Finally, the report from MetsFan4Ever noted that WWE considers WrestleMania to be a huge draw no matter what match closes the show. No single WWE star will ever be bigger than the event itself.

Editor’s Note

Congratulations to Daniel Bryan, who is now “owed one” from Vince McMahon.
