At “NXT Takeover: Rival” on Feb. 11, Sami Zayn will defend his NXT Championship in the main event against Kevin Owens.

Zayn is currently in Abu Dhabi this week to do promotional work for the company. He’ll fly back to the United States on Wednesday to work the show.

He’ll then fly back to Abu Dhabi to work shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

This means he’ll likely miss the NXT tapings taking place on Thursday, unless he misses part of the Abu Dhabi tour.

If this is true, WWE may write him off of their programming for a few weeks at “Takeover.” It could also mean that a title change with Owens is in the works, although that’s nowhere near confirmed.

Editor’s Note

I’m predicting that Kevin Owens will win the gold at “Takeover” anyways. If Zayn continues on the overseas tour and misses the tapings, he’ll either A) lose the title, or B) be beaten down after their match with yet another injury angle.
