Current reigning and defending WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella is dealing with some pain.

She was held out from WWE Live Events this weekend due to an apparent back injury, which she eventually acknowledged on her official Twitter account.

F4WOnline.com reported last month that Nikki had been working with a partially separated shoulder, which explained why she had been competing in tag team and six-Diva tag bouts on television.

She appeared on “Monday Night Raw” on Aug. 10, teaming with fellow Team Bella members Alicia Fox and her sister Brie in a victory over Team B.A.D’s Tamina Snuka, Sasha Banks, and Naomi.

Nikki is still scheduled to be a part of the Divas Revolution Elimination tag team match with Team Bella against Team B.A.D and Team PCB (Paige, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch) at WWE “SummerSlam” on Aug. 23 at the Barclays Center.

Her combined title reigns with the Divas Championship is at roughly 266 days, which puts her second all-time in company history behind AJ Lee and her 295 days.

Editor’s Note

Nikki is one tough hombre. Give credit where credit is due, people. Like her or not, her run with the gold has been impressive. If the reports of her working with a partially separated shoulder were true, that should deserve a pat on the back, no? Sitting out Live Events isn’t a big deal. “SummerSlam” is more important.
