It’s been five long years since Mickie James was last a part of World Wrestling Entertainment’s Divas division.
The now 36-year-old is a five-time Women’s Champion, which is the third-most title reigns in company history behind the Fabulous Moolah and Trish Stratus. She also had one reign as Divas Champion, as well.
Since her WWE run, James has juggled a country music career, being a professional wrestler with TNA, as well as having a child with fiancee Nick Aldis (better known to wrestling fans as Magnus).
In a recent interview with “The Norman Show” at Florida SuperCon, James discussed possible returning to WWE somewhere down the line.
“I don’t know. That would be amazing,” she said. “I got into wrestling to be a WWE superstar. That was my goal. I watched WWE as a child. I was a fan. That’s where I wanted to be. I was fortunate and blessed to achieve that goal. I am grateful. But if I had the opportunity to come back, of course I would be back to kick their butts, easy competition. Just kidding.”
In regards to which Diva on the current roster she’d love to square off against:
“Paige. I am going to take her out now. So, if you don’t see her, it’s not my fault. The girls have been killing it in NXT. Kudos to the girls of NXT for killing it,” James added. “It’s a tough one. They are all so good. I would like to take on Charlotte. That would be fun because I’ve been friends with Ric Flair for so long. He does nothing but brag about her. He is proud of her as he should be. So for me, that would be cool on both ends, as a fan and as a performer, to be able to go up against her and hopefully tear the house down.”
