You can now add the name Austin Aries to the long list of names seemingly on their way out of TNA Wrestling.

The company recently taped their upcoming episodes of “Impact Wrestling” that are set to air on July 29 and Aug. 5. During the show, former X-Division Champion Aries apparently wrestled his last match.

SPOILER:

Aries took on Rockstar Spud for the rights to use the “Rockstar” name. If Aries lost, he would have to leave TNA.

As one would guess, Aries lost the bout, thus ending his career as a TNA competitor.

SPOILER ENDED

Aries has had six reigns as TNA X-Division Champion, which is tied for second-most in company history behind Chris Sabin’s eight.

He’s currently scheduled to face Davey Richards at TNA “Slammiversary” on June 28 for the rights to determine what the stipulation will be in the final bout for The Wolves vs. Dirty Heels Tag Team Championship series.

PWInsider.com was first to report that Aries’ contract was set to expire following the pay-per-view, with no presumed extension on the table. TNA has announced several re-signings on its official Twitter account in the past, but there’s been no update on Aries.

It’s been announced in recent weeks that Samuel Shaw, Low-Ki, James Storm, Magnus and Gunner are all leaving or have left TNA Wrestling, as well.

Editor’s Note

Is there anyone left? Hello? Anyone there?
