James Laurinaitis, a middle linebacker for the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League, was recently interviewed by the Primetime Crew at InsideSTL.com on Super Bowl radio row.

Laurinaitis is the son of Joe Laurinaitis, better known to WWE fans as Road Warrior Animal of the Legion of Doom.

He mentioned during the interview that he hasn’t watched a lot of wrestling since his father retired. He’s also not aware as to who won the “Royal Rumble” match on Jan. 25.

The Ascension have spent the past month saying how they’re superior to several WWE tag teams of the past, including the LOD. Laurinaitis has heard about those promos, calling them “laughable.”

He said that if Hawk (Animal’s partner) was still alive, his father would probably get back in the squared circle and work a program with Konnor and Viktor.

Editor’s Note

James and Joe Laurinaitis vs. The Ascension at WrestleMania 31. It’s not going to happen, but how cool would that be?
