As first reported by TMZ.com, ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage will be the first inductee into the 2015 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.

That news will be confirmed later tonight on the Jan. 12 edition of “Monday Night Raw.”

While discussing the announcement during a special report on the WWE Network, Scott Stanford revealed that Hulk Hogan will likely be the one inducting Savage into the Hall of Fame.

Hogan and Savage had quite the history together, most notably as “The Mega Powers” tag team.

The two eventually split after Hogan’s relationship with Elizabeth caused tension between the pair. They eventually faced off in the main event of WrestleMania 5 for the World Wrestling Federation Championship with Hogan emerging victorious.

Savage’s HOF induction was originally going to be revealed during the first week of February, but WWE moved it ahead to help ticket sales for the event.

Editor’s Note

It makes sense. I could have seen one of Savage’s family members making the induction, but Hogan is just as good a choice.
