In a huge piece of news that was first confirmed by TMZ.com on Jan. 12, ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage will be the first inductee into the 2015 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.

WWE.com later confirmed the news, although they noted it wouldn’t be “official” until “Monday Night Raw” later tonight.

The company was originally going to start revealing WWE Hall of Fame inductees during the first week of February, but those plans were changed in order to help ticket sales for the event.

Per a report by PWInsider.com, the script for “Raw” tonight as of last Friday had a segment revealing a WWE HOF entrant, although it didn’t have the name of who that inductee would be.

Savage is a two-time WWE Champion and four-time WCW Champion.

WWE’s social media accounts have made several Savage-related posts throughout the day, pushing this historic news.
