As WrestleMania XXX come and gone, it is now time for WWE to start planning for its next major event, SummerSlam. Additionally, as always, it is never too early for WWE to start mapping out matches for WrestleMania. In a recent report by Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com, WWE appears to be doing both these things.

In Alvarez’s report, he states that there are two matches being discussed for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31. One match would see the “Beast Incarnate” take on The Rock, a match that had been discussed for WrestleMania XXX. Another possible match for Lesnar at the grand spectacle would see Lesnar go up against the newest “Paul Heyman Guy” in Cesaro.

The website’s report also reveals that the first match for SummerSlam has been penciled in. The match would see The Shield’s Roman Reigns go up against WWE COO Triple H.

During the latest edition of “Monday Night Raw,” on April 7, the foundation may have very well been laid for two of these three matches. As seen during the closing of the show, it appears that The Shield may be squaring off against Evolution, which means it could easily culminate in a Reigns vs. Triple H match.

Additionally, now that Cesaro has aligned himself with Paul Heyman, a similar storyline from 2013’s SummerSlam could occur. Last year, Heyman turned on CM Punk, leading to a Punk vs. Lesnar match at SummerSlam. Going forward, something similar may occur, leading to a Cesaro vs. Lesnar match at WrestleMania 31.

Editor’s Note

I’m a fan of all three of these matches, especially Roman Reigns vs. Triple H. I definitely think Brock Lesnar vs. Cesaro would be a better match for WrestleMania 31. Lesnar could possibly go up against The Rock at a different event like the Royal Rumble.
