The goal of any NXT Superstar or Diva should be to improve their craft, garner a following, and inevitably work their way up to the main roster to appear on weekly television.
During a recent appearance on the “PodNasty Wrestling Podcast,” Balor revealed that he isn’t in a hurry to join WWE’s main roster:
“What we’re doing at NXT right now is groundbreaking. It’s revolutionary. For me, it’s like a Renaissance period in wrestling, and I want to be involved in NXT, I don’t want to go to the quote-unquote main roster, I don’t want to get called up, so to speak, because I believe that we at NXT are building something together that is going to be looked back on in 10 years the same way that we looked back on the ECW period as being revolutionary at that time, and this is something that I want to be involved in.”
Balor also mentioned how the recent Paul Heyman Instagram photo he posted on his account wasn’t designed to tease a future partnership between the two.

At “NXT Takeover: Brooklyn” on Aug. 22 at the Barclays Center, Balor will put his NXT Championship on the line in a Ladder match against Kevin Owens.
Editor’s Note
Obviously Balor will wind up on “Monday Night Raw” one day. No rush, though. Use him as the focal point of NXT and continue building the show.
