Not many people would have blamed WWE superstar Dolph Ziggler had he not decided to re-sign with the company this year, as the way his pushes go from strong to non-existent would make anyone get a little agitated.

Fans of his can breathe a sigh of relief, though, as the former World Heavyweight Champion signed on the dotted line to stick around a little while longer with World Wrestling Entertainment on a multi-year contract.

In a recent interview with Scott Fishman of The Miami Herald, Ziggler revealed his reasoning behind re-signing with WWE.

“My contract was coming up, and I was weighing a bunch of different option,” Ziggler said. “I had a lot of outside offers to do some other things. Instead I decided to settle on doing the thing I love the most and working for WWE. WWE has given me an out where any days off that I have they allow me to work on outside projects. So it’s a win-win for everybody.”

Ziggler also mentioned a certain NXT star he wouldn’t mind stepping in the ring with.

“I haven’t seen Tyler Breeze in a little while, but I was watching him,” Ziggler said. “He was on the road with us doing things here and there, doing some live events. He is a good kid. He is a nice guy. He works really hard, and I like the way he works. I would say Breeze. I like him.”

Editor’s Note

I, personally, would have loved to have seen Ziggler make the jump to New Japan Pro Wrestling or Ring of Honor, but that’s just my preference. I’m just not sure WWE will really pull the trigger on his main event push.
