We recently reported here at WrestlingRumors.net that if The Undertaker is willing to perform next year at WrestleMania 31, his match at the big event would likely be against Bray Wyatt.
According to a report by F4WOnline.com, while Bray is still the frontrunner to go one-on-one with “The Phenom,” it is by no means a lock at this time.
WWE is moving forward with the idea that they need to start setting up the potential encounter. That has a lot to do with Bray going over at “WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, Chairs……and Stairs” against Dean Ambrose in their TLC match on Sunday.
If the bout does come to fruition, Sting would face Triple H at WrestleMania 31 instead. Rumors have rampant for years over a dream match between Sting and Undertaker possibly happening should WCW’s icon ever grace a WWE ring.
That may be held off until WrestleMania 32 when WWE attempts to break the all-time indoor attendance record at Cowboys Stadium.
Editor’s Note
The nostalgia of a Sting vs. Undertaker match is slowly losing its appeal. Bray would get more of a rub should he defeat the legendary WWE figure, although it’s hard to imagine WWE having him drop two-straight after winning 21 in a row.
