Backstage Concern Over Daniel Bryan Being Top Guy In WWE

Daniel Bryan may be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but there is still growing skepticism backstage over whether or not he can carry the company moving forward.

We reported here at WrestlingRumors.net on May 4 that some of WWE’s higher-ups believe Bryan’s “YES!” chant is more over than he is.

Now, according to PWInsider.com, plans are in motion for Bryan’s continued push, but as the No. 2 guy in WWE.

John Cena is still perceived as WWE’s top star, so it’s going to take more of a showing from Bryan for him to overtake that spot.

If anyone deserves to be taken seriously as the NEW No. 1 guy in the company, it’s Daniel Bryan. If management truly believes the “YES!” chant is more over than the man himself, they must be out of their minds.
