In a rather surprising move, former WWE superstar Alberto Del Rio appears to have come to some sort of understanding with the company that released him back on Aug. 7.
Through his official Twitter account (@VivaDelRio), Del Rio announced a joint statement with World Wrestling Entertainment concerning his ability to work for other wrestling organizations.

He was fired from WWE for slapping social media worker Cody Barbierri following a racist statement he made.
In a recent interview with Fighting Spirit Magazine, the former World Heavyweight Champion talked about how racist jokes from top executives “were a constant” while working under contract.
Now that the dust has settled between both parties, Del Rio (now known as El Patron) should be free to work for Lucha Underground beginning in 2015.
Editor’s Note
Well this is random. Certainly unexpected. It could leave the door open for Del Rio to one day return should the opportunity arise. This was an ugly situation that needed a concrete resolution. Perhaps this is it.
