In the world of sports, and pro wrestling, power rankings are something you will see every so often. They are an attempt to capture a snapshot of the moment, and to assess who is on top of the heap. For example, if you were to do WWE power rankings, AJ Styles would probably be number one. This is not about traditional power rankings, though. No, we’re here to point out a few WWE wrestlers for whom the arrow is pointed down. Who is ending 2016 languishing? We are taking into consideration downward trajectories, so wrestlers who are in a worse place than they were, say, a few months ago, get a point in their “favor.” Consider these the Bizarro Power Rankings. So who’s on top, which is to say the bottom?

5. Curtis Axel: The trajectory of the former Intercontinental champion was already going downhill before the year 2016 began. The former Social Outcast was already on the fringes when he was part of that stable, but since they broke up he’s basically been completely forgotten. He was the last pick of the brand extension draft, and since then his infrequent appearances have been losses, even to Bo Dallas. When you are losing to Bo Dallas, things aren’t going well.

4. Alicia Fox: Alicia Fox was never high on the women’s wrestling totem pole, but now she has been relegated to being Cedric Alexander’s valet, and the object of Noam Dar’s obsession. She’s basically a McGuffin now, and that’s a bummer.

3. Titus O’Neil: Titus got suspended for 60 days earlier this year, but that didn’t completely send him to no man’s land immediately. He actually got a feud with Rusev for the US Title, which he of course lost, but since then he’s basically been forgotten. O’Neil turned heel and nobody cared. He got squashed by Mark Henry in two seconds. His most recent match was only a setup for Braun Strowman to interfere and beat everybody up. When you’ve become fodder for Strowman, things aren’t going well.

2. The Vaudvillains: If you are looking for the jobber-iest tag team in the WWE, you probably have to go with Aiden English and Simon Gotch. It’s a shame, because they have a unique gimmick and an interesting look. Unfortunately, they may just be too weird for the current WWE. They even lost to Golden Truth. If they were to wrestle The Ascension, they’d probably lose. To think, soon after they got called up they were given a tag team title match. Now, they can’t get a win against anybody.

1. Jack Swagger: Tell the truth, did you even remember Swagger was still in the WWE? He’s a former World Champion, and he can’t even get on TV. Swagger was on RAW, where he lost to Jindal Mahal. After that, he was traded to Smackdown, where he got one on-mic appearance, started a brief feud with Baron Corbin, and got squashed. It would not be surprising to see Swagger gone from WWE soon. The writing seems to be on the wall.
