Who Wants to Be on Smackdown Now?

Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair had a great rivalry in 2016. They exchanged the RAW Women’s Championship belt over and over in a series of memorable matches. However, Charlotte came out on top in their last encounter, and now it seems like the WWE has moved on to a program between Charlotte and Bayley. Where does that leave Sasha? Perhaps dreaming of a move to Smackdown.

A fan tweeted at Banks that she would hold the women’s title again soon enough. Sasha responded by tweeting “I hope it’s blue” with a smirking face. Obviously Smackdown is the blue brand, with the blue belts, so that would seem to indicate a desire to move from RAW to Smackdown.

This is obviously an interesting tweet. It seems unlikely that Banks is going rogue here. That would not serve her well in the company, one assumes. Would the WWE move Banks from the red brand to the blue one? That would also seem odd. The women’s scene on Smackdown seems stronger than the one on RAW, and they already have two popular faces in Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella. RAW needs Sasha more. Yes, her time in the title chase may be over, at least for now, but there’s still a program with Nia Jax for her to take on. The WWE could use somebody as popular as Sasha to help get Jax over as a monster heel. Considering all that, this tweet from Banks just seems more and more cryptic.
